About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accessibility Advisor to join our team in Norwich, UK. As an Accessibility Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals with disabilities have equal access to education and employment opportunities.

Job Description:
  • Hold structured meetings with individuals to identify suitable study and support strategies, including non-medical helpers and travel support.
  • Evaluate the suitability of hardware, software, assistive technology, and other aids for each individual.
  • Produce formal written needs assessment reports in accordance with relevant guidance and KPIs.
  • Respond to post-assessment queries from customers or funding bodies within required timescales.
  • Conduct reviews of customer needs when requested.
Requirements:
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize own workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • To be proactive in undertaking continuing professional development.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible, punctual, and reliable.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of DSAs provision/support.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology software.
  • Disability-related experience advantageous, but full training provided.
