The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on pension-related matters
  • Ensuring compliance with scheme rules, industry regulations, and pensions legislation
  • Assessing complex technical pensions issues and providing specialist expertise to team members
  • Contributing to the design and development of new approaches and solutions in line with business and/or client needs
  • Establishing processes for managing and administering quality controls
  • Applying established processes to ensure the quality of calculations and external communications
  • Responsibility for producing technically sound processes and procedures
  • Transferring skills to other team members
  • Building relationships with customers
  • Providing guidance and coaching to team members
  • Collating and analysing data to produce solutions
  • Supporting the translation of quality objectives to team members
  • Maintaining an awareness of other business activities and working flexibly across other departments
  • Representing EQ at technical working groups and forums
  • Identifying service improvements and efficiency opportunities
  • Quality checking of work carried out by the administration team
  • Undertaking ad-hoc activities as determined by Operational Manager
