We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Deputy Head of Social Work. As a key member of our UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children) service, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people and making a real difference in their lives.

About the Role

As a Deputy Head of Social Work, you will work closely with the Team Manager and a dedicated social work team to provide essential support to children and young people in need. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Team Manager with decision-making, chairing key meetings, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to secure the best outcomes for young people.
  • Leading on recruitment, training, and supervision of team members, ensuring their professional development is a priority.
  • Advocating for young people within the care system, promoting stable placements and implementing long-term positive changes.
  • Developing a strong understanding of legal frameworks and children's care pathways.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
