An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Mech Electrics Limited, delivering critical mechanical engineering solutions for a Ministry of Defence (MOD) facility in Gloucestershire. This is a high-security project, and successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance for the duration of the project.
The Mechanical Project Engineer will take ownership of the technical aspects of mechanical engineering on the project, from design and installation through to commissioning and handover. You will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and other engineers to ensure the mechanical systems are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all relevant standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide mechanical engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design and development to installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Review and assess project specifications, drawings, and design documents, ensuring that mechanical systems meet both client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure that mechanical designs are fully integrated with other building systems and are delivered in line with the project schedule.
- Manage the day-to-day technical delivery of mechanical systems, ensuring they are installed and commissioned to the highest standards.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, particularly within the context of commercial or public sector building services projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
A competitive salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus a company car or car allowance, makes this a highly attractive opportunity. Additionally, you will benefit from a pension scheme, private medical insurance, and life insurance, as well as 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays.
