Job Title: Early Years Education Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Years Education Support Worker to join our team at Ellen Tinkham School in Exeter. As a Special School for children and young people with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities, we provide a child-centred curriculum and a supportive learning environment.

About the Role:
  • Support students as part of a class team, enabling them to access learning opportunities and achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver pre-planned learning, care, and therapy programmes in an inspiring learning environment.
  • Encourage children to flourish and grow, helping them to develop through fun activities and become more independent in daily tasks.
  • Observe children's progress, keep records, and build relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an early years setting is preferable, but enthusiasm, empathy, and a willingness to learn and follow instructions are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and resilience are required.
  • A DBS disclosure and the ability to fulfill all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English are necessary.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, term time 39 weeks per year, with a finish every Tuesday for a team meeting.
