About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Europlan Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters related to our projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, construction managers, and clients to ensure effective health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are aware of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Recognized health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, BSC, RoSPA, or SVQ) with a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate or S/NVQ level 3.
  • Formal training in environmental management is preferred.
  • Industry experience with a trade background is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Full conversance in developing risk assessments (General, COSHH, Fire, and Unplanned Events).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to present and develop training programs.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office systems.
