We are seeking a skilled Technical Data Business Analyst to join our team at Telefónica Tech UK&I (Data & AI). As a key member of our delivery team, you will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and needs, and help them transform their organisation using data.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with clients to identify and articulate their business challenges and needs
- Unpack these challenges and identify the underlying causes
- Define the requirements that will drive the design and build of data management and data warehousing solutions
- Analyse and document business processes
- Analyse and make sense of data
- Provide a link between the client and our development team
- Help clients prioritise their requirements and plan implementation approaches
- Bring industry-leading practice and business analysis skills to client engagements
- Contribute to the building of our Business Consulting methodologies and intellectual properties
- Support data migration engagements by leading source to target mapping exercises
- Ability to quickly understand a client's business strategy and business objectives
- Analytical skills to identify, define, and unpick problems
- Ability to clearly define, agree, and articulate customers' business requirements
- Background in software development, business analysis, or project management
- Ability to understand line of business systems and their underlying data
- Collaborative personality and way of working to build client relationships and trust
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, up to and including senior manager or director level
- Ability to bridge the business and technical domains
- Good understanding of data management and integration platforms and tools
- Experience of working on data analytics/data warehousing projects and translating these requirements into logical dimensional models
- Hands on data related experience, performing activities such as data analysis, data profiling, and data mapping
- Working with source system SMEs and target system experts to correctly map entities and data elements for both data platform engagements and system integration/migration engagements
- You'll clearly and accurately define customers' requirements that will drive the delivery of our data management solutions
- You'll deliver your outputs to a high quality and to specification, on time, and to budget
