Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HPC Software Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an industry-leading high-performance computing platform, providing computer science support through development and deployment of software techniques and solutions.

This is a challenging role that requires expertise in software development, parallel programming, and computer architectures.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £46,000 (dependent on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 9-day working fortnight, market-leading pension scheme, and family-friendly policies.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with equivalent industrial experience.

A strong understanding of parallel programming concepts, software development life cycles, and processing technologies is essential.

You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, installation, and maintenance of software modules, as well as interacting with vendors, universities, and US laboratories on leading-edge research.
