Radar Systems Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Technical Programme Lead to join our team in the Shetland Isles. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team to deliver high levels of radar availability, quality compliance, safety, and continuous improvement at our remote radar sites.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in radar system engineering, with a minimum of 10 years' experience supporting and deploying TPS-77 radar systems. You will be responsible for delivering high levels of radar availability, quality compliance, safety, and continuous improvement at our remote radar sites.

You will work closely with our RAF customers and their representatives, providing specialist engineering advice, guidance, and management to site Radar Engineering personnel. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining industry best practice with regards to radar support.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing small teams to deliver radar availability at remote sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team to deliver high levels of radar availability, quality compliance, safety, and continuous improvement at our remote radar sites
  • Provide specialist engineering advice, guidance, and management to site Radar Engineering personnel
  • Work closely with our RAF customers and their representatives to ensure delivery of contractual obligations
  • Maintain industry best practice with regards to radar support
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Up to 6% contributory pension scheme

Requirements
  • Holds recognised Electronics and electrical Qualification
  • Required OEM technical training
  • At least 10 years TPS-77 radar experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
