Job Summary

Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an Engineering Inspector in the Birmingham area. As a Field-Based Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting hands-on statutory inspections and providing expert opinions on a wide range of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide detailed reports and recommendations for maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives and improve processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure expertise and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to client sites.
