Protocol Education is seeking a Child Psychology Graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant in an Outstanding Ofsted Rated Primary School in the West Midlands.
About the Role:We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in developing their skills in working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Child Psychology Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work with children who have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Responsibilities:- Assist and support the development and learning of students within the school
- Provide 1:1 and general support to students according to their needs
- Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Be responsible for upholding school policies, including behaviour policies
- A patient and understanding approach
- An interest in working with students with SEN
- Flexibility in your approach
- An existing DBS check on the update service (new DBS checks can be applied for)
- Existing experience working with children or adults with SEN is advantageous, but not required
