Physiotherapist for Adults with Learning Disabilities

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team in the Dorset Adult Learning Disability Service. As a Physiotherapist, you will work with adults with complex health needs, providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to improve their physical function and quality of life.
Main Responsibilities
As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults with complex health needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve physical function and mobility
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong clinical skills and experience working with adults with complex health needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of community-based rehabilitation and support services
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands
