Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Maternity Governance team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Maternity Governance Specialist, you will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of maternity clinical audit systems and processes. You must be confident in creating, interpreting, and presenting data through various channels.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of maternity clinical audit systems and processes

* Support service improvements and implement evidenced-based practice and the findings of audit presented to a multidisciplinary audience

* Collaborate with the Maternity Governance team to achieve high-quality patient care

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer excellent benefits, including a comprehensive pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement, and access to a range of employee wellbeing programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A midwifery degree and registration as a midwife with the NMC

* Recent clinical practice and evidence of well-documented and up-to-date CPD portfolio

* Ability to work autonomously within professional and Trust guidelines

Experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of SBL and 3-Year Delivery Plan

* Experience in maternal and neonatal resuscitation

* Ability to safely move and transport equipment

* Proficient use of computer packages, Excel, Word, and digital maternity system
