At Lawes Consulting Group, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our development team. As a Regional Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting mid-market commercial products on a new business basis, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and ensuring panel/regional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing new business pipelines and attending client visits as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive underwriting approach, collaborating with cross-divisional teams.
  • Identifying new mid-market sectors and enhancing business propositions.
  • Contributing to the identification and acquisition of new business, driving growth in gross written premiums across mid-market commercial and Property & Liability.

Requirements:

  • Strong Property & Liability/commercial underwriting experience, particularly within the mid-market segment.
  • Development underwriting experience is desirable.
  • Track record of successfully cultivating and managing relationships.
  • Strong communicator and excellent diary management.
