Compassionate Nursing Home Leader

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a beautiful nursing home in Newcastle as a Deputy Nursing Home Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the home, working collaboratively with the Home Manager and wider teams.
About the RoleThe role of Deputy Manager is diverse and varied, encompassing all aspects of excellent nursing and residential care. This includes open and individualised communication, supporting and maintaining budgetary and financial controls, and being personally accountable for Human Resources.
You will promote engaging and creative marketing initiatives, guide and coach colleagues to pursue training and development, and undertake the same for your own professional growth. On both a personal basis and through supervision of the teams, you will provide undivided attention and care to all areas of the home.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the home's staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns.
- Manage and mitigate risks effectively, ensuring the home is a safe and secure environment.
- Be adaptable to changes at short notice and work well under pressure without negative impact on those around you.
- Experience of working within the healthcare sector.
- Management/leadership experience (essential) and qualification (desirable).
- NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (essential).
- Competitive salary: £23.85 per hour.
