We are seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to join Mitsubishi Chemical Group on a permanent basis at our Specialty Polymers and Resins site in Newton Aycliffe.
This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining a manufacturing environment with a strong culture of communication, health and safety, coaching, training and providing support and development opportunities to employees.
Working 24/7 shifts, you will manage one of our production teams and deliver day to day SHE, quality, production standards and targets, focusing on continuous improvement to deliver world class manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the shift team to deliver against targets, ensuring compliance to procedures.
- Supporting team development and providing the team flexibility to achieve site requirements.
- Manage day to day production, prepare and issue Work Control Permits, interact with the plant DCS and MES systems to optimise production and resolve short- and medium-term plant problems.
- Monitor and improve performance and developing and delivering sustainable production systems and processes, including operating procedures, conditions, technical training and problem-solving guides.
- Project managing improvements will be required, including commissioning of modified and new equipment.
What Are We Looking For?
- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience of leading and motivating individuals and teams to achieve business goals.
- A strong appreciation for SHE standards.
- Strong technical, problem solving, change management and systems skills are essential.
- An understanding and delivery of manufacturing improvement 5S, root cause, etc.).
- Experience of working with DCS and MES systems, ISO9001:2000, cGMP and ISO13485.
- A recognised management qualification or similar experience.
