**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). They will assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention plans (BIPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide support for students with SEND to enable them to learn as effectively as possible in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence in students with special needs.
  • Provide assistance with academic tasks, communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a special education setting, is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum (inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay)
