Advanced Speech and Language Therapist Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at London Bridge Hospital, a leading provider of private healthcare in the UK. As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with children who have complex needs and provide high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 18.75 hours per week, with a competitive salary dependent on experience. You will be working in our outpatient department, providing speech and language therapy to children with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to children with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of our patients
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop treatment plans
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of HCPC
  • At least 5 years experience of working within paediatrics and complex needs such as autism and TBI
  • Competent in dysphagia
  • ADOS trained or willing to undergo training
  • Experience of MDT working
  • Providing supervision to B6 outpatient SLT
  • Support SLT lead in managing outpatient service and oversee day to day running of outpatient clinic
  • Ideally experience of working with bilingual families and with interpreters and willing to see inpatients when required
