Welder/Fabricator Job Opportunity

Axis Technology and Development is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Gilford, Northern Ireland.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Welder/Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification engineering experience and 5 years of Stainless Steel TIG welding experience. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture Axis Harvesting systems
  • Work with design engineers to streamline the assembly of machines
  • Welding and fabricating Stainless Steel assemblies (predominantly TIG welding)
  • On-site work during the commissioning of systems on customer sites
Essential Skills and Requirements
  • TIG/MIG Arc welding, including 316 Stainless Steel welding experience
  • Sheet metal/stainless/aluminium fabrication experience
  • Read detailed engineering drawings for manufacture
  • Precision engineering experience, including assembly
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to drive tasks to completion
Working Hours and Conditions

The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Friday, 8am-1pm. Hours/days may vary when on-site installation.

We offer a competitive salary of £14-£18 per hour, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a family-run business at the forefront of R&D.
