About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Arlington Outdoor Hub project, a key initiative in the National Trust's strategy to improve entry-level outdoor experiences. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in delivering complex projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Arlington Outdoor Hub project through the next stage of our Project Management Framework, delivering detailed design, overseeing the planning and consenting process, and refining the cost, time, scope, risk, and benefits.
  • Work closely with contractors, consultants, specialists, and stakeholders to achieve successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the National Trust's strategic aspirations for outdoor infrastructure delivery across the South, supporting the development of a pipeline and taking the learnings from Arlington to future projects.
  • Provide informal support and mentorship to other project management colleagues and work with other project management colleagues at Arlington and beyond to maximise opportunities for efficient and effective delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience of successfully delivering complex end-to-end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement, securing project teams, and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes.
  • A professional with technical knowledge and skills in project management demonstrated by a recognised project (AMP PMQ/Prince) or programme management (MSP) qualification.
  • Able to evidence ongoing CPD in your career to date.
  • A flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions with senior leaders.
  • A skilled communicator, with experience of managing complex and challenging situations with competing interests and a diverse range of people.
  • A leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture.
  • Confident and competent in budget forecasting and management.
