Job Description

Job Title: Primary School Teacher Position

Job Type: Part-Time

Location: South Bristol Area

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our team at a lovely 2-form entry Primary School in the South Bristol area. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Year 1 students and will be expected to work closely with families from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 1 students
  • Assess children's knowledge and development, and plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all children and provide a safe and welcoming environment
  • Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and be able to assess children's knowledge and development
  • Work closely with the Year 1 team to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Phonics and the screening test
  • Ability to assess children's knowledge and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
