Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of our clients' projects.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and evaluate bills of quantities, tenders, and contract documents.
  • Track and manage project budgets, valuations, and variations.
  • Conduct site visits and work closely with project teams to monitor progress and costs.
  • Assess and negotiate sub-contractor and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and site teams to resolve commercial issues.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts and project reports.
  • Assist with risk management and cost control initiatives.

Salary Range: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of groundworks packages, including drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure. They should also possess excellent knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within groundworks, civil engineering, or construction.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines.
