About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Law Specialist to join our team at Travers Smith. As a key member of our Pensions Department, you will work closely with our Partners, Senior Counsel, and other colleagues to provide expert advice on pensions law and practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise pension scheme clients on legal aspects of pensions tax rules, funding requirements, insolvency, and other protections.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other practice areas, including investment funds, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Provide strategic and legal advice on corporate transactions involving defined benefit pension schemes.
  • Collaborate with US and other firms to assist global clients in managing their pension risk worldwide.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years post-qualification experience in Pensions Law.
  • Outstanding academic record and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate proactivity and good transaction management.
  • Team player who thrives working within a collegiate environment.
