Job Summary
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Group Statutory Reporting Accountant to join our team on a 100% remote basis for a 3-6 month period. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accounting for approximately 800 leases across the Group under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 16.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with businesses on lease accounting and manage leases within the Iris software.
- Prepare necessary adjustments for the transition from International Accounting Standards (IAS) 17 to IFRS 16.
- Reconcile reports from Iris Innervision to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and prepare journal entries for all Group leases at the Group level.
- Play a crucial role in preparing and producing three sets of Group audited consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, addressing challenges such as business acquisitions, disposals, and restructures.
- Provide technical and logistical support to the Group Financial Controller on various Group Finance projects, including accounting for acquisitions and disposals, dividend planning, and Group structure changes.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant with extensive IFRS 16 lease accounting experience.
