Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team at Brainkind, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in providing high-quality, holistic care to service users. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users, ensuring that they receive the best possible support to regain their skills and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring effective performance management and development.
  • Lead the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, and carers, ensuring that they are fully involved in the care planning and review process.
  • Work closely with other departments, internal and external to Brainkind, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing care and services, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and meet the needs of service users.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in the clinical field.
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and influence an effective team in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector and best clinical practice for client group.
