Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Adecco UK Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their team in Chippenham. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation's stock control system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels and make informed decisions on stock replenishment based on guidance from the computerised stock system.
  • Organise and maintain existing inventory, ensuring it is easily and safely accessible.
  • Keep accurate records of stock deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Develop efficient systems and processes for stock control.
  • Accept deliveries of stock, ensuring they are not damaged and all items ordered are present.
  • Facilitate the return of faulty goods and products.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the stock.
  • Enforce health and safety rules within the storeroom and provide training to staff on proper practices and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing an Engineering Stores.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Confident and capable individual with problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and spreadsheets.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good mathematical abilities.
