Job Overview

The Vascular Laboratory at King's College Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Vascular Scientist to join their team. This exciting opportunity allows applicants to develop their skills in one of the busiest vascular ultrasound departments in the area.

Main Duties:

  • Perform and report complex vascular ultrasound examinations, including transcranial imaging for national paediatric sickle cell screening programs
  • Conduct renal artery and transplant kidney scans, as well as vascular access procedures for dialysis fistula and mapping
  • Specialise in diabetic foot care, including pedal arterial and ultra-distal bypass graft surveillance
  • Provide urgent scans for vasculitis conditions, such as GCA pathways
  • Offer guidance for endo-venous work and perform all standard vascular scans

The department offers individually tailored support to enable scientists to add to their existing experience, providing full training in areas not already within their scope.

About the Role:

  • Significant experience of performing and reporting vascular ultrasound is essential
  • Experience with audit or research projects is desirable
  • Ability to teach and train colleagues is also required

This role will be based mainly at the Denmark Hill site but may require some cross-site working at Princess Royal University Hospital and other locations.
