Aerospace Assembly Fitter Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Assembly Fitter to join our team at Adecco. As an Assembly Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly of aircraft interiors products in a low batch high mix manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a wide range of production methods, including hand tools, motorized equipment, and aerospace standard solvents and adhesives.
  • Assemble a variety of components using various fasteners.
  • Work with a range of materials, including alloys, steels, plastics, fabrics, and leathers.
  • Read and understand aerospace standard drawings and relevant engineering documentation.
  • Maintain the traceability of all components and assembled parts.
  • Packaging of finished goods in line with industry standards for road, sea, and air cargo.
  • Understand and comply with all company health and safety policies.
  • Demonstrate a good duty of care and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Show a commitment to quality and help maintain satisfactory business delivery and quality targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and drive efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSE or equivalent qualifications or 7 years' experience working within an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Min 5-7 years assembly experience within an engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and successfully interpret complex Engineering Drawings.
  • Good understanding of industry quality adherence requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • This role reports to the Assembly Cell Team Leader.
  • Travel requirement - 10%.
  • Hours of Work - Standard Hours - 39 hours per week.
  • Monday to Thursday: 15:00 to 00:00.
  • Friday: 12:00 to 17:00.
