The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching Careers are partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are seeking experienced tutors who have a strong understanding of SEN and have worked with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe learning difficulties. The ability to support non-verbal students and manage challenging behavior is essential.

Position Details:

Position: Special Education Tutor

Hours: 10-15 hours a week (during the school day)

Duration: Ongoing

Requirements:

QTS or equivalent

Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

UK classroom teaching experience

Ability to think creatively and work with a patient and understanding approach

To be eligible for this role, the successful candidate must:

Hold the right to work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list check
