About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Income Officer to join our friendly and high-performing income management team. As an Income Officer, you will be responsible for income collection and providing guidance to customers on benefits and income maximisation.

You will manage a patch of around 1000 homes, developing relationships with customers and providing advice and support to those experiencing difficulties with rent payments. Your focus will be on tenancy sustainment, ensuring that customers are able to maintain their tenancies and avoid eviction.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in housing or benefits advice, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. You will also need to be proactive and able to prioritise your workload, finding solutions to customer's individual needs and effectively negotiating repayment arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a patch of around 1000 homes, developing relationships with customers and providing advice and support
  • Provide guidance to customers on benefits and income maximisation
  • Collect income and negotiate repayment arrangements
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve tenancy sustainment
