## Electronics Design Engineer Role

### Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Copello. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality electronic systems for our naval defence hardware products.

### Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop electronic systems, including circuit boards, microcontrollers, and software, to meet customer requirements and specifications
* Collaborate with the engineering team to improve processes and implement changes from lessons learned
* Maintain the engineering review process, focusing on design objectives, ease of manufacture and assembly, product lifecycle maintenance, safety, and warranty
* Work with team leads to interpret technical requirements and produce electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Material
* Ensure technology is designed in accordance with design control procedures, local and international regulations, and directives
* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to establish technical requirements or provide technical support

### Requirements

* Minimum of 5 years' proven electronic design experience in industry
* Knowledge of CAD packages, such as Altium
* Solid understanding and demonstrable experience of risk mitigation and ALARP
* Solid understanding and demonstrable experience of undertaking design, safety, and process FMEA
* Ability to write and review comprehensive technical design documentation
* Electronics Engineering Degree
