Care Assistant (Nightshift) - Cathay Care Home

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team at Cathay Care Home. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with their daily routines, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Keep a close eye on residents' health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  • Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces.
  • Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

About You:

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
  • Values: You bring integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything you do.
