At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Lifting Engineer - Appointed Person, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of lifting operations at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate lifting activities to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for effective control of MEH lifting activities
  • Design and develop lift plans in accordance with NNB Management of Lifting Operations Standard
  • Select and specify lifting accessories, including method of attachment and protection to prevent damage
  • Brief and supervise lifting/rigging personnel to ensure safe system of work
  • Plan and resource lifting operations to ensure adequate supervision and personnel
Requirements:
  • Essential experience in lift planning and coordination
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and lifting software
  • Proven track record in nuclear power or similar industries
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Experienced in delivering and operating as a Team Lead, including experience working within Joint Ventures
Qualifications:
  • CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Blue Card)
  • ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads and TAP01
  • NVQ Level 3 Steel Erecting/Moving Loads
  • IOSH Managing Safely
