The Engineering team plays a crucial role in maintaining the assets used in fulfilment and Manufacturing, ensuring these divisions operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves providing technical support to the Fulfilment/Manufacturing operation, aiming for optimum asset reliability and performance through effective maintenance and Continuous Improvement practices.
You will have a good understanding of modern maintenance techniques and operational knowledge of a Fulfilment/manufacturing site. Your ability to respond quickly to daily business needs is essential.
- Offer technical support across plant operations to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
- Promote proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activities to achieve key maintenance KPIs.
- Collaborate with the Plant PPM program development and utilise RCA skills for Reactive tasks, driving a predictive Maintenance culture.
- Analyse major engineering stoppages across site using root cause analysis reports.
- Support the close-out of health and safety, Quality and CI actions lists.
- Emphasise reliability using modern techniques such as TPM, RCA, RCM, and FMEA.
- Provide coaching and support to operators developing their skills on assets across site.
- Participate in project activity and change initiatives as required.
- Evaluate compliance with design specifications and contractual arrangements for operation and maintenance.
- Document tasks completed or in progress within the department's CMMS system.
- Maintain Food safety standards and traceability of engineering activities through systematic working methods.
- Work collaboratively with departments to identify and drive Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical engineering, specifically in an FMCG process environment.
- ONC / equivalent qualifications with an electrically biased focus and mechanical skills.
- 17th / 18th edition certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of PLC servo drive diagnostic techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic/mechanical and pneumatic controls is essential.
- A positive approach to plant reliability and continuous improvement is necessary.
- A high level of H+S Awareness is required.
- A results-focused individual who continually strives for improvements both in processes and personally.
