Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Role - A challenging opportunity for a commercially aware finance professional in St. Austell or remote, offering a salary of approximately £50,000, negotiable based on experience.

Trial Balance Consulting has been retained by one of its longest-standing clients, a leading employer in Cornwall, to identify a suitable candidate for this critical role. With significant growth and a major reorganisation of the finance department, the organisation requires an experienced Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to drive the development of commercial finance decision-making strategies and reporting tools.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller to create and implement commercial finance plans, providing essential input into the company's long-term strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Partnering with senior management to formulate the company's long-term strategic plan
  2. Compiling and refining budgets and forecasts
  3. Generating growth projections
  4. Carrying out financial and operational analysis
  5. Presenting commentary to the Senior Management Team on company performance
  6. Supporting new investment initiatives through financial reporting
  7. Creating financial models, forecasts, and profitability assessments

A strong contender for this position will hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and substantial experience gained in an analytical environment, coupled with expertise in Business Intelligence and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding commercial awareness and general IT skills.
