About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team as a Construction Cost Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets, preparing cost estimates, and overseeing procurement and tender processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and a valid driving license. They will be comfortable with site visits and have experience in cost estimation, budget management, and financial analysis.

As a Construction Cost Controller, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency across various civil engineering projects. You will take charge of detailed cost planning, analysis, and control, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest regard for health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and manage budgets for civil engineering projects.
  • Oversee procurement and tender processes, liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress and address financial matters directly.
  • Take charge of cost planning, analysis, and control to ensure efficiency at every stage.
Requirements

We are seeking an individual with a solid background in civil engineering, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are also essential.

Estimated salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum.
