Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our busy buying department. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and ordering construction materials, hired-in plant, and site services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and ordering construction materials, hired-in plant, and site services
  • Arranging quotations and placing orders
  • Ensuring receipt of materials and services, and providing documentation to the accounts team
  • Working with the accounts department to resolve invoice queries
  • Liaising with suppliers' logistics teams and site teams to coordinate deliveries and collections
  • Collaborating with other buyers and performing ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Experience or training in procurement, preferably in construction materials, plant, and services
  • Background in construction with knowledge of refurbishment-based materials and trades
  • Organizational, motivated, reliable, and able to self-manage, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and business management software
