Job Overview

The World Bank Group is seeking a highly skilled Digital Economy Strategist to join their team. As a key member of the Digital Transformation Vertical Vice Presidency, you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization's efforts to establish a digital economy and promote digital prosperity.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 15-20 staff and reporting directly to the Global Director for Digital Use. Your primary focus will be on advancing digital transformation in client countries, working closely with Regional Managers/Directors to deliver key strategic priorities and specific activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-impact solutions to complex development challenges, drawing on global thought leadership and expertise.
  • Model exemplary WBG leadership values and managerial behaviors, driving technical excellence within the team.
  • Manage resources effectively, establishing funding priorities and ensuring delivery within budget constraints.

Selection Criteria

  • Masters or PhD degree in a relevant field.
  • 12+ years of experience in GovTech, country systems, and leadership roles.
  • Excellent technical skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and proven leadership abilities.
