Biology Teacher Vacancy at Wayman Learning Trust

We are delighted to collaborate with a highly-regarded secondary school in Kingston actively seeking a dedicated and inspiring Biology Teacher to join their exceptional Science department. This full-time permanent position offers a unique platform to cultivate a love for science and guide students towards a deeper understanding of the living world.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3-4 and 5. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a passion for exploring the natural world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver captivating Biology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.

Benefits and Remuneration: Competitive salary up to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus comprehensive benefits package including pension contributions and opportunities for professional development.
