Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen area.
- Receive, check, and store kitchen deliveries safely.
- Implement safe food handling practices and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure the dining area is well-presented and maintained.
- Practice safe systems of work and adhere to Health and Safety legislation.
- Act professionally and courteously at all times.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and encourage collaboration.
- Advise and liaise with management on supply and quality of items.
- Responsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies and equipment.
- Provide meals and drinks to residents and assist with mealtime as needed.
- Ensure fridges are clean and food items are correctly stored and labelled.
- Set up the dining room for meals and oversee the use of satellite kitchens.
- Change menu displays daily and serve food from hot trolleys.
- Lead the dining room and allocate staff as needed.
- Provide refreshments outside of mealtimes and maintain communication with the chef.
- Collect mealtime feedback from residents and ensure daily tasks are carried out in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
- 27.5 hours per week.
