About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components, and wing systems for both civil and military aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of professionals in achieving People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC) targets through the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the Lean Operating Model.
  • Accountable for creating a Great Place to Work through developing and empowering first-class Team Members and driving a culture of continuous improvement, safe working, and open dialogue.
  • Hold team members accountable and fellow Team Leaders accountable to embody the GKN Aerospace culture principles.
  • Provide opportunities for Team Members to play to their strengths and create ongoing opportunities for learning and personal development.
  • Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards are applied.

Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate competence to undertake key tasks within their designated work zone or those in zones with similar experience.
  • Excellent performance as a Team member demonstrating rigorous adherence to standardized work and a track record of Kaizen implementation.
  • Self-motivated by meeting and exceeding PSQDCC performance targets.
  • Demonstrated potential to lead, engage, train, and develop direct reports.
  • Good standard of English language.
