Primary Education Support Role

Pontybrenin Primary School is seeking an experienced Education Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils, supporting their academic and personal growth in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement tailored learning plans for pupils with special needs
  • Assist with lesson delivery, providing individualized support to pupils as needed
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, promoting a sense of community among pupils and staff
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and progress tracking

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or a related field, with relevant teaching or support experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Proven experience working with children with diverse needs, including ASD and other disabilities
  • Valid DBS clearance, with willingness to undergo regular checks

Estimated Salary: £22,500 - £28,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
