Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves. As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide group and individual support to students with SEN, promoting social skills and confidence building.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that students with SEN are fully integrated into the curriculum.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a top UK University.
  • Desirable experience working with children with SEN, although not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for education and supporting students with SEN.

What We Offer

  • A competitive daily rate of £95 (inclusive of holiday pay), paid via PAYE on a weekly basis.
  • A long-term contract beginning in September 2024, with the potential for extension.
