About Usk Veterinary Centre

Located in the heart of Monmouthshire, Usk Veterinary Centre is a two-site small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our patients and their owners.

Our Practice

We have a team of 6 veterinary surgeons, 10 nurses, and 9 receptionists and practice manager who work together to provide a wide range of services including consulting, surgical, and inpatient care. Our main surgery and branch surgery are within a ten-minute drive of each other, allowing us to offer a convenient and efficient service to our clients.

Our Facilities

We have invested heavily in our facilities, including our own laboratory for in-house use, DR X-ray machine with SignalPet Use, Dental x-ray, separate Dental theatre, prep rooms, and main Theatre. We also have an Ultrasound machine, endoscopy, and Walk In Kennels to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

We pride ourselves on our longstanding team and are committed to maintaining extremely high standards, with a silver level cat friendly status from the ISFM and RCVS PSS General Practice accreditation in our main Usk site.

Your Role

We are seeking a Small Animal Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to our patients, working closely with our surgeons, nurses, and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical care to our patients, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, prescribing medication, and performing procedures as needed
  • Work closely with our veterinary surgeons and nurses to deliver comprehensive patient care and outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence in patient care
