Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Engineering Specialist to join our Global Real Estate team's Design & Construction Department in London. As a key member of our European-region commissioning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring data centres operate as designed from start to finish.

In this exciting role, you will work closely with internal and external partners to validate construction quality and lead the delivery of commissioning activities. You will be responsible for building trust with customers and stakeholders in the commissioning process, ensuring commissioning activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will also collaborate closely with the project team, fostering relationships with senior-level external commissioning agents and occasionally travel to key European hubs, including Frankfurt and Paris. Key Outcomes:

  4. Collaborate closely with the project team, fostering relationships with senior-level external commissioning agents.

About the Role

This role reports to the Global Head of Commissioning and works alongside project managers, design managers, and senior leadership to validate project success from design through deployment. To succeed in this role, you will need strong management skills, a solid understanding of data centre engineering principles and operational system functionality, and experience managing budgets, timelines, and project risks.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A solid understanding of data centre engineering principles and operational system functionality.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and project risks with an engineering and delivery focus.
  • Knowledge of Ashrae Level 1-6 commissioning processes for data centres.
  • An adaptable management style to engage effectively with diverse teams, consultants, and contractors.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position with occasional travel to key European hubs.
