The company designs, develops, and manufactures their products in the UK, with extensive financial backing and a growing order book. This presents an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop mechanical design schemes and detailed designs of various aircraft parts and assemblies.
- Carry out the design and development of systems such as landing gear, flight controls, cabin seating, engine installations, or rotor systems.
- Conduct concept development for mechanical systems.
- Utilize hand calculations, simulation methods, modeling tools, and CAE tools to size, analyze, and optimize system elements.
- Design mechanical systems using 3D CAD.
- Develop part and system testing plans.
- Support in-house prototype build.
- BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven mechanical design, analysis, and development experience.
- Proficient in modeling parts and assemblies in 3D CAD.
- Proficient in carrying out engineering calculations and the use of modeling and simulations software.
- Experience in developing mechanical systems from concept to reality.
