Job Title: Toolroom Technician

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Magna International Inc. is a world-leading automotive supplier. We are seeking a skilled Toolroom Technician to join our team.

About the Job:

This role involves supporting production shift by completing open action items, ensuring clear communication of production-related issues, inspecting and troubleshooting new tools and progressive dies, operating toolroom equipment effectively and safely, and maintaining documentation and preventive maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Production coverage, Change Over's, and Preventative Maintenance
  • Carry out daily pre-start Crane and Toolroom inspection sheet
  • Maintain a clean and organized Toolroom / 5S
  • Ensure clear communication of production related issues
  • Inspect and troubleshoot new tools and progressive dies
  • Operate Toolroom equipment effectively and safely
  • Maintain documentation and preventive maintenance requirement
  • Manage daily priorities for attainment of customer satisfaction
  • Actively participate in continuous improvements
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Perform all job functions in alignment with IATF 16949 quality management standards

Requirements:

  • Five years related experience in automotive production
  • Mould Maker Certificate of qualification (License)
  • Valid forklift license
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment and programming
  • Basic understanding of the computer
  • Ability to program operate sink / wire EDM
  • Familiar with CAD Modeling
  • TIG welding experience
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
