Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Project Officer. As a key member of our projects department, you will be responsible for supporting the management of projects from conception to completion.

The successful candidate will have a recognized Electrical or Instrumentation qualification and ideally some experience of working in an engineering environment or similar discipline. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

As a Trainee Project Officer, you will be enrolled on a dedicated 2-year development programme, supported by your line managers and mentors. This will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in project management, technical skills, and business acumen.

  • Salary: £38,800 per annum (plus increase to £45,000 and bonus upon Completion of Training)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of project plans, including feasibility studies and technical designs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact.
  • Collaborate with clients and suppliers to ensure that their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
