Electrical Design Opportunities at Wood

We are seeking experienced Electrical Designers to join our team at Wood, a leading provider of project delivery and operations solutions to the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG, or Power Generation industry. They will be able to produce high-quality electrical deliverables with minimal supervision and have a good understanding of applicable international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver electrical systems for various projects, including substation design, cable routing, and area classification layouts.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including cable and MTO schedules, standard installation details, lighting and earthing philosophies, and layouts.
  • Collaborate with other discipline design groups to progress a joined-up plant design.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree).
  • Proven track record in FEED and Detailed Engineering (EPC) project phases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate with experience in Micro-station 2D and Smart Plant S3D/SPEL.
