About the Role:

Our client, a leading provider in the energy solutions industry, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. With over 35 years' experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers, they are looking for individuals with experience in large-scale commercial projects.

You will be working alongside experienced engineers to undertake the technical installations and inspections of large LPG vessels, above ground and underground. This will involve laying U/G distribution pipe work using various methods of jointing, installing & connecting all types of pipework (0.5inch to 8inch) and equipment, as well as carrying out the required testing, purging, and commissioning & issuing of certification.

Don't worry if you've never worked with LPG before, as all training can be provided. You will also have the opportunity to gain your Commercial ACS Qualification (if not already obtained).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake technical installations and inspections of large LPG vessels
  • Lay U/G distribution pipe work using various methods of jointing
  • Install & connect all types of pipework (0.5inch to 8inch) and equipment
  • Carry out required testing, purging, and commissioning & issuing of certification

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate: £46 per hour (with up to £55k OTE)
  • Company van, available for personal use
  • Full training, including support to gain your Commercial ACS Qualification (if not already obtained)
  • Travel and accommodation for projects away from home paid for by the company, plus breakfast
  • Over 3 nights out per week, £25 per night will be paid

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering experience in commercial settings (FMCG, Oil & Gas, etc.)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home
